Ways of Life Campus

Ways of Life Campus

Ways of Life is a collaborative community project situated on the Scheid Peninsula at Lake Edersee. It incorporates ecological and socially oriented building concepts, complemented by permaculture gardens and regenerative green spaces, with the goal of exploring new ways of living and working in a rural context. The initiative features residential buildings, guest houses, seminar rooms, public common areas, and spaces for hands-on construction and exhibitions. Christoph Hesse Architects is guiding the overall Ways of Life campus project and is also designing several key structures within the development: Three Columns, which provide atelier, kitchen, and meeting spaces; Chapel of Light, a contemplative structure developed in collaboration with the neighbouring church community; and The Open House, a venue for cultural and ecological exploration.
